This part of the building process is extremely important to make sure that the homeowner is a right fit for Aquatic Treasures.
We at Aquatic treasures Pools take pride in saying we have the best homeowners. We do not want to just throw in a quick swimming pool for anyone.
We want to be sure we are designing, quoting, and delivering the best possible product, swimming pool, that fits your lifestyle.
in this step we examine the property for any potential hazards.
We go over possibilities, as well we ask numerous questions that most do not.
When we leave, we want the best understanding of who you are as a homeowner so we can hit all the potential needs in executing a personal paradise for you.
Here we Design to the homeowners liking the Future personal paradises on our 3d software.
Once all parties are happy with design, we send out our quote typically within 24 hours off First site visit.
This is when thing become exciting and real.
We do a final pre-construction meeting, where we touch all aspects of the building process and select ALL BUILDING MATERIALS for the project.
After all the "I's" are dotted and "T's" crossed we sign final paperwork and contract to begin permit process.
For the New installs, we start the permitting.
First. (811) is called to make sure as many utilities as possible are marked safely out of working area.
EX... power lines, gas lines, water mains, ....
Second. We send in detailed paperwork to Duke Energy for approval on location of pool to electrical standards and for saftey.
Third. Once duke has approved and sent us a letter typically within 10 business days , we submit to your municipality the permit pack.
******EVERY MUNICIPALITY IS DIFFERENT IN TIME FRAMES****
Some take days. Some take multiple weeks. We will let homeowners know how long expect wait time is.
This is when The machinery arrives and the dust gets kicked up.
We come and remove any grass from the direct working area.
Next we lay out the Outside edge of the swimming pool and or spa, using wood.
If the ground is too saturated we will set up a well point field and begin de watering the ground in direct working area.
Once all is ready, we begin the dig.
While digging the pool we immediately start "hanging" installing the steel rebar to swimming pool to code.
After hole is dug and steel is complete, we call in for inspection from city.
Here we Come in after a approved steel inspection, and "shoot", pump the concrete shell into your back yard. as the concrete is being shot, our skilled "shotcrete" crew begins "cutting" and forming the pool into desired shape
Typically takes 4-6 hours
Once the shell is complete and concrete is hard enough to continue work, we come in and strip off wooden forms, remove debris from yard, grade the yard back to level.
*****the yard will look like a construction site prior to this step******
Immediately following post grade, we start digging the ditches for your swimming pool plumbing to go in.
the 4 basic lines that each swimming pool will have is
1. Main drain line (the two 8" holes in the deep end floor)
2. Pool Vaccuum line, compatible with most swimming pool vacuums on the market.
3. Surface Skimmer (this is the topical debris catch basin on your swimming pool)
4. Swimming pool returns, (these are opposite of home air returns. These feed water back into the pool for proper circulation.)
Once under pressure and holding, we call this step in for inspection from your city.
Once plumbing has been approved by city and pipes are covered with dirt. We will run a continuous loop of copper wire around the pool for "grounding " purposes and end it at the pool equipment location.
This too will be called in for inspection from your city.
Now the pretty stuff comes!!!
Once bond is approved, we start preparing the pool edge for your selected waterline tile and swimming pool coping (coping is typically the same material as your decking, just adhered to the pool edge)
We come in immediately after tile and coping is installed and lay the selected decking material down to proper pitch and elevation.
By this step, your back yard is coming together. 95% of the dust has settled. we are on the HOME STRETCH!
we prepare the concrete surface for new Pebble interior. adding proper fittings to all the plumbing stubbed thru the shell and cleaning all debris off of shell for proper adhesion.
Here we install your swimming pool equipment and shortly after a licensed electrician wires everything into your home power.
After preparation. The swimming pool interior is installed, and exposed by the Pebble Tech Applicators our trusted and professional "Pebble Pros"
They come back the next day and clean the new surface and decking. Once complete, the swimming pool water is started, and pool begins filling.
***Typical pools take 24-36 hours to fill***
Once pool is completely full. We start sanitizing the water and do the "start-up" in the next 4 weeks, we will have someone clean and check the chemical levels of the pool **ONCE PER WEEK**
In the meantime we let our homeowners know what they need to do on their end, with a provided start up Package.
At this point Enjoy Your New personal paradise!
